In recent years, the creation of nursing documentation in everyday nursing practice has become increasingly complex. Due to the increasing bureaucratic burden, nursing staff have less time for care and support. This has negatively impacted nursing motivation and the attractiveness of the profession as a whole. For this reason, in 2014, the Federal Ministry of Health advocated for reducing the bureaucracy in nursing. The Structured Information Collection (SIS for short) is one of the resulting outcomes. It represents the first element of the structural model, which serves as the starting point for a four-stage nursing process.
